LiftAway Remotes FAQs
General1
No, (except for LAUVR) they are only compatible with models stipulated on the front of the packaging. Please check both model number and frequency rating match your existing remote or opener to ensure compatibility.
• Ensure remote is compatible with specific opener.
• If compatible, ensure full programming instructions are followed as per your Garage Door Opener’s instruction manual. These can often be found online by typing in the name and model number of your Garage Door Opener, usually located on the outer plastic shell.
• In some instances our remotes will not program in due to the memory of your garage door opener being full. To test this, clear all remotes from Openers memory following instructions in manual and begin process again. Please only complete if you have all existing remotes on hand to reprogram in should this not be the issue.
Carefully follow the programming instructions provided. This resolves most issues.
Complete Limit setting once again and ensure that the door performs a full auto-cycle by itself when completed. If this does not occur, then the setup was not completed. Please ensure you re-read instructions and follow them carefully.
A ‘half-eleven’ will show up on the display once the settings have been entered. If a ‘dash’ is showing, the door will not function.
Only one button per opener can be coded at a time. The other buttons can be utilised for additional Openers, or if the original programmed button is damaged in any way.
Four-button remotes use 2 x CR2016 button-type batteries.
Older 2 button remotes:
